Every year we get the same question in our shop and in our mailbox: "What should I get a 3-year-old?" That's why this year we aren't looking at what we like, but at what our customers are actually buying and searching for. Since January, we have shipped more than 10,000 toys, and in the past month alone, we gift-wrapped 171 of them for free. These are the top picks by age.
How we made this list
- Our sales figures: what sold most frequently in 2026, with extra focus on the past month (mid-September to mid-October).
- What you are searching for: the brands and products people search for on Google and end up at Little Thingz for. Jellycat, Sonny Angel, Stapelstein, Connetix, and Maileg top that list by far.
- In stock: we only recommend toys that are currently in our warehouse in Zonhoven.
Baby (0 to 1 year)
For the littlest ones, it's all about feeling, looking, and grabbing. Soft, safe, and easy to clean is the goal.
- Tickit Silisoft curiosity set black & white (€49.95): teething toys, rattles, and stacking cups in black and white. Contrast is exactly what babies see best in their first months.
- Petit Boum sensory star Orionis (€19.50): looking, shaking, and discovering all in one.
- Jelly Blox lil' jellies bus (€19.95): a soft bus that is easy for little hands to grab.
- Moonie sleeping companion seal (€79): with heartbeat sound and soft light. A gift that makes parents happy, too.

Toddler (2 to 3 years)
"Toys for 2-year-olds" is one of the search terms most people use to find us. Toddlers want to build, listen, and do everything themselves.
- Faba+ storyteller starter set (€69.90): one of our best-selling gifts of the past month. Stories and songs without a screen, and your toddler can operate it themselves.
- Jelly Blox squish train set (€39.95): soft building blocks you can squeeze and stack.
- Smart Games Peek-a-Zoo (€14.95): recreate the picture and discover where the animals are hiding. A first logic game, perfect for a stocking stuffer.
- Little Dutch balance bike/tricycle (€99.95): grows with them from a tricycle to a balance bike.

Preschooler (4 to 5 years)
Preschoolers build entire worlds and engage in hours of roleplay. Magnetic building toys are the big winner here.
- Magna-Tiles Micro Mags Treehouse (€20): the Magna-Tiles travel sets occupy no fewer than four spots in our top 20 from the past month. Small, affordable, and ideal for on the go.
- Stapelstein Warm Pastel (3 pieces) (€95): stacking, balancing, building a bridge. Stapelstein is one of our most searched brands.
- Maileg mouse in matchbox (€26.95): Maileg is our second best-selling brand this year, with nearly 800 mice, furniture pieces, and accessories sold. A mouse in a box is a classic that lasts for years.
- Smart Games Tiptoe Dino (€24.95): voted Toy of the Year 2026 in the Netherlands, in the children's games category.
