Luft is inspired by a very chic 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa, which Julian Meagher, the founder of Playforever, owned while living in Florence, Italy, for two years. This beautiful ivory-colored car was perfect for cruising through the Tuscan hills and undoubtedly made every school run a true pleasure. We started by designing the shape of Luft without any details, except for the signature Targa band, which seemed like the right choice to us. So, we went all in, fully aware that countless 911 fans and car designers would be scrutinizing our work. Fortunately, we succeeded, and we are very pleased with the result. We plan to make another 911, based on the 930 turbo, the icon of the 80s, and perhaps we will even make one with a slant nose and a 'whale tail' in double scale. Take a look at our Instagram feed for more information on that.
Meagher's Targa has since been sold to a lovely Danish family who will undoubtedly take good care of it and keep it in beautiful condition.
