About Monchhichi
Monchhichi was designed in 1974 in Japan by Mr. Sekiguchi. He combined the soft Kuta Kuta plush monkey with the vinyl face of the thumb-sucking GeGe doll. Thus, a boy and a girl were born. These plush monkeys quickly became a huge success in Japan and subsequently captured children's hearts all over the world.
