Curious about the frog's life cycle? With this educational playset, children can learn about it easily and through play. The figures show the rapid transition a frog makes from egg to adult. Life begins among a cluster of floating eggs. Those that survive hatch as tadpoles and then undergo a rapid change as they lose their gills and grow legs. Young tadpoles are often mistaken for fish because they move so quickly in the water. Life in the water is great, but these amphibians will soon head to land and become adult frogs after 12 to 16 weeks. The figures in this set are ideal for use as Montessori toys for lessons on biological processes and life cycles.
