‘This is the life,’ said Pippi, stretching her legs out as far as she could. In many of the stories, Pippi Longstocking climbs onto her horse’s back and rides with a confidence all her own – no saddle, no fuss, just Pippi being Pippi. This long, upholstered bench is inspired by that very horse. The polka-dot fabric upholstery is reminiscent of the horse’s distinctive coat. Both ends are softly shaped, and one side features a fringe that references the horse’s swishing tail. It is a practical piece of furniture that can serve as a seat in the hall, a place to put down bags or books, or a cosy spot by the window. For children, it is also an invitation to climb on for an imaginary ride.
